Safari Highlights
• Wildlife concentrates around waterholes
• Ideal for desert exploration
• Excellent visibility for spotting wildlife
• No mosquitoes or rain
Wet Season (Summer) – November to April

• Hot days with localized afternoon thunderstorms
• Still mostly dry in the south and coast
Temperatures:
• Days: 28–38°C (82–100°F)
• Nights: 15–22°C (59–72°F)
Safari Highlights:
• Fewer tourists and lower prices
• Beautiful green scenery and wildflowers in the north
• Excellent birdwatching
• Wildlife is harder to spot due to thicker vegetation
• Desert areas (e.g. Namib, Sossusvlei) remain dry
Note: The Namib Desert and coastal areas (Swakopmund, Walvis Bay) receive very little to no rainfall even in the rainy season — they remain dry and foggy year-round.
