• Wildlife concentrates around waterholes

• Ideal for desert exploration

• No mosquitoes or rain

Wet Season (Summer) – November to April

• Hot days with localized afternoon thunderstorms

• Still mostly dry in the south and coast

Temperatures:

• Days: 28–38°C (82–100°F)

• Nights: 15–22°C (59–72°F)

Safari Highlights:

• Fewer tourists and lower prices

• Beautiful green scenery and wildflowers in the north

• Excellent birdwatching

• Wildlife is harder to spot due to thicker vegetation 

• Desert areas (e.g. Namib, Sossusvlei) remain dry

Best game viewing: Jun–Oct; rainy but green in Jan–Mar

Cool, dry, foggy – no real rainy season

Dry, rocky; excellent in dry season
